Problem

The water industry suffers under a combination of difficult-to-overcome obstacles that require a proactive and innovative approach. Aging infrastructure, fragmented data systems, and reliance on outdated, reactive methods hinder the ability to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective water supply. As climate change amplifies risks and compliance standards grow stricter, utilities must adapt with smarter, data-driven solutions that enable real-time monitoring, actionable insights, and long-term operational resilience.

Siloed operational data

Siloed operational data

Siloed data limits water utilities’ visibility, making it hard to spot patterns, risks, or inefficiencies. Without integration, decision-making stays reactive, driving up costs, downtime, and compliance risks.

Complex and correlated risk

Complex and correlated risk

Aging infrastructure, climate change, and operational inefficiencies create complex risks that challenge utilities in prioritizing actions. Without real-time assessment tools, they remain reactive, facing higher costs, reduced reliability, and greater exposure.

Budget constrains

Budget constrains

Budget constraints force water utilities to rely on outdated systems and reactive approaches, leading to higher long-term costs, inefficient resource use, and greater compliance risks.

Slow quality assurance procedures

Slow quality assurance procedures

Outdated compliance processes delay issue detection and resolution, increasing the risk of regulatory penalties and public health incidents. Without timely oversight, utilities face higher costs, inefficiencies, and greater exposure to safety risks.

Solution

01

Water quality insights in realtime

With our university researched microbial sensors, water companies can monitor water quality in realtime and follow trends in our unique online dashboard. When coupled with our autosamplers, it even becomes possible to take samples during ongoing incidents in order to perform deeper lab analysis.  All the time series data is fed back into our machine learning algorithms to create impactful actionable insights and recommendations.

02

Consolidated operational data

Exploring water quality in isolation will provide a clue to what is going on, but it will still leave the "why" unanswered. By analysing sensor readings alongside operational and contextual data, we will be able to explore the "why" in greater detail and over time also predict potential risks that may occur allowing us to build powerful, custom event management tools.

03

AI-driven decision making

A core part of Aqua Alarm’s value proposition lies in our machine learning models. With advanced data analytics , we maximise the value of customer data and provide early-warning systems and event management tools that allows users to respond proactively to potential issues and better understand how they propagate.

Sensor

Our sensors can be placed anywhere in the infrastructure, performing two readings per second. Data is uploaded via 5G to Aqua Insights, enabling real-time and historical monitoring on any device.

Sampler

Samplers connect to sensors and capture samples during unrecognized anomalies, enabling lab analysis. They automatically notify personnel when a sample is ready for inspection.
